What is Biblical Counseling?

  • A Biblical Perspective

Every counselor has a worldview. As a biblical counselor, the Bible informs my perspective on human nature and how we change. Together in our sessions we will map your personal story onto the grand story of Scripture.

  • Prayer

Prayer is an important part of the Biblical counseling process. It allows us to slow down, connect with God, and acknowledge that he is ultimately the one who provides hope and healing in our lives. Each session will begin and end in prayer. This allows us to invite God into our conversation with the hope and expectation that he will guide our time together.

  • Community

We were not made to live in isolation. When we bring others into the difficult parts of our lives, it allows them the opportunity to carry that burden with us. Together, we will discuss ways for you to pursue vulnerability and support from your community.
